Steve Mcfadden and I are asking for volunteers for a Women and Fair Practice Committee. We are looking for people who have a passion for social justice, workers’ & women’s rights, diversity, and the like. We will be meeting for the purpose of gathering ideas for activities and putting some of them into action. Two examples are figuring out pertinent topics for Lunch & Learns and possibly a member survey to see what people’s "heart burn" issues are and gear activities toward those issues.

We would like to meet about every 4-6 weeks. We can form smaller work groups depending on what you are interested in. We would especially like to encourage ‘rank & file’ members who aren’t necessarily active in the union to consider talking with us; we need you. Your ideas are important to us and they do matter.
