National VA Council and you our members, I have established a National VA
Council Briefing. This NVAC Briefing will bring you the latest news and
developments within DVA and provide you with the current status of issues this
Council is currently addressing. I believe that this NVAC Briefing will greatly
enhance the way in which we communicate and the way in which we share new
information, keeping you better informed.

Lawmakers Push Labor-Management Partnerships.
The Federal Labor-Management Partnership Act would require the formation
of a council to advise the president and local labor-management

Engaged in Jobs. Only 21 percent of workers
worldwide are emotionally invested in their jobs, while 38 percent are
either disenchanted or disengaged, according to a new survey. FlexJobs
Highlights New Poll Linking Telecommuting with Job Satisfaction.
FlexJobs announces the results of a new nationwide poll finding that
workers who telecommute from home or elsewhere report the highest levels
of satisfaction with their jobs and loyalty to their employers. Flex

Job-sharing is not as common as other flexibility choices, such as
part-time work, working from home, or compressed weeks. However,
some employers are seeing the benefit of offering options that help

EEOC Discovers Phony Complaint E-Mails. The
Equal Employment Opportunity Commission reported to authorities that an
e-mail circulating to employers alleging to be a harassment complaint
from the Federal agency contains links to a computer virus.
Activists Fight to Rewrite Disabilities Act.
People who can control their health conditions—with medications and
devices like insulin pumps—might not be considered disabled. That
